I. Eligibility

1.Be a non-Chinese citizen in good health;

2. Be a high school graduate no younger than 18 years.

3. Should comply with the regulations (JW〔2020〕No. 12) issued by Ministry of Education of People’s Republic of China. ().

Please log in to the MUC Online Application System For International Students (), complete the online application and pay the application fee of CNY600 which is non-refundable no matter admitted or not.

IV. Application Documents

1.Photo page of your valid passport. If the validity of the applicant’s current passport does not meet the requirement, which means the expiry date of the passport should be after March 1, 2027, please apply for a new passport before submitting the application. Passport information cannot be changed before registration of enrollment.

2.High School Diploma: Prospective diploma winners must submit official proof of student status by their current school. The languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized Chinese or English translations.

3. Official Academic transcripts: Complete academic records from first to last semester shall be provided. The languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized Chinese or English translations.

4. A Personal Statement:The content includes your academic background, application reasons, study plan and career objectives, etc., written in Chinese no fewer than 800 words. The template is available in Annex 2.

5. Two letters of recommendation: The letter is provided by your teacher in high school, written in Chinese or English with teacher’s contact information.

6. Language qualification certificates: HSK 5(>180 score) or above is required. HSK 4 (>180 score) is accepted for International Chinese language education program.

7. China Scholastic Competency Assessment (CSCA) transcript. The transcript report is required for applicants to Chinese Government Scholarship programs. It is a vital reference during the admission review. For test schedules and details, please check the official CSCA website() .

8. Foreigner Physical Examination Form. The physical examinations must cover all of the items listed in the Foreigner Physical Examination Form, filled in Chinese or English. Incomplete forms or forms without the signature of the attending physician, or the official stamp of the hospital, or a sealed photograph of the applicant are considered invalid. Please carefully plan your physical examination schedule as the result is valid for only 6 months. The template is available in Annex 3.

9. Non-Criminal Record Report. The applicant shall submit a valid certificate of Non-Criminal Record issued by the local public security authority, usually issued within 6 months prior to the submission date of the application.

10. Individual works: The applicant for the arts or design program shall provide his/her own works (such as videos and paintings) via the online application system.
