Ⅰ. Program Categories, Study Duration and Language of Instruction
1.This scholarship supports postgraduate programs;
2.The study duration is 2-3 years for master’s programs, and 4 years for doctoral programs;
3. Most postgraduate programs are taught in Chinese, and some master’s programs can be taught in English.

Ⅲ. Eligibility
To be eligible, the applicant must:
·be a citizen of a country other than the People’s Republic of China, and be in good health;
·be a bachelor’s degree holder under the age of 35 generally when applying for a master’s program;
·be a master’s degree holder under the age of 40 generally when applying for a doctoral program.
Ⅳ. Scholarship Coverage
·Tuition waiver;
·Free accommodation on campus or accommodation subsidy;
·Stipend:
Master's students: CNY 3,000 per month;
Doctoral students: CNY 3,500 per month;
·Comprehensive Medical Insurance: CNY 800/person/year.

Ⅴ. Application Procedure
1.Applicants should submit the application via the CSC Online Application System for Study in China (), and download the Application Form for Chinese Government Scholarship. No need to upload the Letter of Provisional Admission when you first submit your application.
The agency number for Minzu University of China is 10052. The scholarship for Chinese University Program is Type B in the CSC application system.
2.Please log in to the MUC Online Application System For International Students (), complete the online application and pay the application fee of CNY600 which is non-refundable no matter admitted or not.
VI.Application Documents
1. Application Form for Chinese Government Scholarship(in Chinese or English).
2. Personal Information Page of Passport. If the validity of the applicant’s current passport does not meet the requirement, which means the expiry date of the passport should be after March 1, 2027, please apply for a new passport before submitting the application. Passport information cannot be changed before registration of enrollment.
3. Notarized Highest Diploma: Prospective diploma winners must submit official proof of student status by their current school. Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized Chinese or English translations.
4. Academic Transcripts: Copies of academic records from first to last semester during the undergraduate, graduate (if any), and doctoral programs (if any) shall be provided. These transcripts shall be issued and sealed by the attending university’s academic affairs office, graduate school, or student management department. They can be in Chinese or English, but must be attached with notarized English translations if they are in foreign languages other than English.
5. Personal Statement: Doctoral program applicants are required to write at least 1500 words, and master’s program applicants are required to write at least 1000 words, in Chinese or English. The content includes, but is not limited to, academic background, work experience and achievements, application reasons, research plan, career goals after graduation, etc. The template is available in Annex 2.
6. Two Letters of Recommendation: Two letters of recommendation in Chinese or English from professors for doctoral program applicants. Two letters of recommendation in Chinese or English from professors or associate professors for master’s program applicants. The letter shall describe, but is not limited to, the applicant’s objectives of learning in China, research capabilities, work achievements, evaluation of future growth, as well as the professor’s signature and contact information. The recommendation date should not be earlier than September 1, 2025.
7. Language Proficiency Certificates: Chinese-taught program applicants must provide an HSK certificate of level 4 or above. English-taught program applicants must provide an official transcript such as a TOEFL score of ≥80, an IELTS score of ≥6.0, or a proof of equivalent English proficiency recognized by MUC (excluding native English speakers).
8. Foreigner Physical Examination Form: The physical examinations must cover all of the items listed in the Foreigner Physical Examination Form, filled in Chinese or English. Incomplete forms or forms without the signature of the attending physician, or the official stamp of the hospital, or a sealed photograph of the applicant are considered invalid. Please carefully plan your physical examination schedule as the result is valid for only 6 months. The template is available in Annex 3.
9. Non-Criminal Record Report: The applicant shall submit a valid certificate of Non-Criminal Record issued by the local public security authority, usually issued within 6 months prior to the submission date of the application.
10. Individual Works: The applicants for the arts or design program shall provide their own works (such as videos and paintings) via the online application system.
11. Supervisor Acceptance Letter (if any): The Doctoral program applicants are expected to submit a Supervisor Acceptance Letter, including the information of a prospective supervisor from Minzu University of China, the descriptions of the applicant’s studies or research in China etc. The template is available in Annex 4.
